The UAV Collaborative offers a wide range of services to support further research, development, and commercial implementation of UAV technologies. Below are some of the major services provided:

National Airspace authorization | Flight safety Assurance | Payload/platform selection and integration
Image processing | Platform and payload operations | Education and training

University Curriculum

An Independent Study course on UAV Autopilot Training was offered Fall Semester 2005 in the Department of Aviation and Technology at San Jose State University. The course involves hands-on training based at the NASA Ames Research Center. A 2-day workshop involving the manufacturer of the Cloud Cap Technology autopilot system and RnR Products' APV-3 UAV was conducted at Moffett Airfield.

Primary Education

The UAV Collaborative was a participant in NASA's JASON Program, providing an interactive science & technology learning experience for local elementary and middle-school students. In February 2004, JASON drew approximately 5,000 local students to Moffett Field. Many attendees visited a UAV Collaborative exhibit booth, where they learned about UAV activites and received posters and brochures.

Industry Outreach

In April 2004, the UAV Collaborative participated as a booth exhibitor in the Specialty Coffee Ass'n. America annual meeting. This annual conference attracted appx 8,000 attendees from over 40 nations, and was held at the Georgia World Congress Center, in Atlanta.
